Ukrainian refugees held a protest at a military base in the Netherlands

Ukrainian refugees living at a military base in the Dutch province of Gelderland staged a large-scale protest. They complain about the poor living conditions, the low level of education of the children and the lack of privacy. This is reported by the news portal GLD.nl.

According to the publication, the patience of Ukrainians living at the military base has run out and they have not found a better way out of the situation, except to go to protest action. It is alleged that dozens of Ukrainian refugees took part.

People reportedly gathered for a rally outside the refugee reception center in Harskamp. They held Ukrainian flags and posters with slogans. One of the protesting Ukrainians admitted she was unhappy with the appalling food, poor upbringing of children and poor quality medical care.

But her compatriot expressed a purely masculine problem. According to him, because the refugees have been placed in the barracks, they have no personal life.

It should be noted that representatives of the kingdom’s authorities acknowledged the merits of some of the refugees’ claims, but did not promise to improve living conditions in the near future.

Currently, 330 refugees live in the camp, but several dozen more people are expected to be accommodated there.

  • said during the demonstration, a representative of the municipality.
