The staff explained the refusal to comply with the instructions on the postponement for many fathers. The reason given is that the military registration and enlistment offices are subordinate to the governments of the regions, and not to the Ministry of Defense. State Duma deputy Yaroslav Nilov received a corresponding response from Evgeny Burdinsky, head of the Main Organization and Mobilization Directorate of the General Staff.

The General Staff attempted to obtain military registration and enlistment offices which they did not call certain categories of reservists. But the appropriate decision can only be taken by the governors or heads of local administrations who lead the project commissions. Thus, military registration and enlistment offices have the right not to comply with the requirements of departmental acts of the Ministry of Defense, the document states.

Nilov told RBC about the need to obtain mandatory implementation of the General Staff directives. Only in this case it will be possible to avoid errors of commission drafts. As an example, the deputy cited one of the regions where the fathers of many children could not be returned in time, they died at the front.

Earlier it was reported that a mobilized father of three children from the Krasnoyarsk Territory died after being hit by shrapnel during a shelling in the area of the special operation. The man worked as a truck driver, he was 36 years old.
