Middle distillate inventories in Singapore, an important storage hub, are stable, official data showed Thursday as a jump in jet fuel/kerosene net exports offset lower net gas oil exports with shipments from Saudi Arabia for the first time in 2023.
Data from Enterprise Singapore showed that gasoil and jet fuel/kerosene inventories reached 7.473 million barrels (1.003 million tons) as of May 17, down 4,000 barrels from the previous week.
Net jet fuel/kerosene exports rose to 71,837 tons per week after the country imported those products a week ago.
Total exports amounted to 71,872 tons compared to a minimum import volume of 35 tons.
In terms of gasoil, total imports continued to rise by more than 200% on a weekly basis as the country received supplies from Saudi Arabia for the first time this year.
Data from the Refinitiv Eikon platform showed that three shipments of 90,000 tons each from Saudi Arabia are expected in the next two weeks, and that the mixture contains quantities from the Jazan refinery.
