The National Resistance Movement (NRM) has endorsed Ojok Andrew Oulanyah as a sole candidate (flag bearer).
The meeting that has sat at Rwakitura in Tuesday chaired by the party chairman.
The other aspirants have all stepped down in honour of the fallen Speaker, Jacob Oulanyah.
Elections are to be held on 26th May.
