Laura Ingraham tries to dunk on the Democratic super-broadcasters

Laura Ingraham authored one of the weirdest, half-baked attempts at a Friday night teardown.

The Fox News host blasted the Beltway Democrats for their supposed hypocrisy regarding superspreading events in the time of Covid-19.

Many prominent Democrats tested positive for the coronavirus this week after Saturday’s Gridiron Club dinner in Washington, DC. They include representatives. Adam Schiff (CALIFORNIA), Joaquin Castro (TX), Attorney General Merrick Garlandand Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo.

Ingraham claimed liberals were okay with attending large public rallies in 2022, even after warning against them in 2020. According to her, that’s because a Democrat is now in the White House.

Say again?

At no point did Ingraham mention the obvious fact that Covid vaccines have been widely available since the start of 2021. These vaccines greatly reduce the chances of dying or being hospitalized from Covid, which has killed nearly a million of Americans.

It seems relevant. But then again, I don’t own the 10 p.m. time slot on the nation’s most-watched cable news channel.

“Well, it seems the annual conference — bringing together the press and some of their favorite politicians — was where the problem was,” the dinner host said on Fox News. “Now I remember a time when holding big events like this was called ‘the height of irresponsibility’ because they put lives at risk. And what’s more, it was the fault of those who took the measured risk of attending.

She aired a montage of MSNBC and CNN cable news pundits criticizing people for attending super-broadcaster events – from 2020which, again, was before Covid vaccines were developed.

Ingraham then attacked CNN medical analyst Dr. Leana Wenwho tweeted that the Gridiron event “probably was” a superspreader event, but said “events like this should continue. This is our new normal.

The host scoffed at Wen’s explanation.

“Indeed, the ‘new normal’ must refer, a Democrat is in power.”

Ingraham released a clip of Wen from late September 2020 in which the doctor reacted to a White House Event celebrating the appointment of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court. A number of attendees later tested positive for Covid, including the then president donald trump and govt. Chris Christy, who were both hospitalized in the beginning October 2020.

“I’m very concerned because if I were to custom design a superspreader event, this is what it would look like,” Wen said at the time. “It looks like a lot of people from many parts of the country have gathered together, not social distancing, not wearing masks, and in fact even posting these public health advice. »

Ingraham then noted the President Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) tested positive for Covid this week shortly after a physical hug with the president Joe Biden.

“Rest assured, the same media and medical experts who so blatantly misled the United States throughout 2020 will be back to provide coverage for Democrats,” Ingraham concluded.

When Ingraham Is talk about the Covid vaccine, it is generally designed in such a way as to cast doubt on its effectiveness and safety.
