EU allocates funds to bolster UN World Food Programme’s efforts in Afghanistan

The European Union (EU) has allocated an additional €9.9 million to support the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) in Afghanistan. The funding will be used to provide nutritious school snacks to nearly two million primary school students in provinces across the country for the next two years. The EU’s financial injection will benefit approximately 900,000 boys and 850,000 girls, improving their access to vital sustenance for their educational journey.
