Chelsea Football Club is reportedly tracking Robert Lewandowski’s scenario at Bayern Munich, and could join the race to sign the Polish attacker amid Barcelona’s interest.
Lewandowski’s future is up in the air after he made clear he was unwilling to extend his Bayern contract, which expires in the summer of 2023.
Though Barca is concentrated on a deal for the Bundesliga highest goal scorer, sources say Chelsea FC trust Lewandowski’s decision is a blessing in disguise for them.
Currently, Chelsea is sanctioned and not able to make transfers, which offers Barcelona an edge over them – but that’s projected to cease soon, courtesy of Todd Boehly’s takeover.
Another task facing Chelsea is the reality that Lewandowski favours a move to Barcelona more than other top teams declaring interests.
Nonetheless, the battle for the striker’s signature is uncertain so as his subsequent destination.
