Geraldo Alcmin, Vice President of Brazil and Minister of Development, Industry, Foreign Trade and Services, interviewed CMG correspondent while participating in the New Car Experience activity of the Great Wall Motor Brazil branch in the city of Erasmepolis, São Paulo State. He said that Brazil regards China as an important partner. Brazil-China cooperation is highly complementary and mutually beneficial, with great potential. He stressed that recently, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva paid a state visit to China, which strengthened the bilateral relations between the two countries. Geraldo Alcmin said that President Lula’s visit to China was very successful. The meeting of the two leaders and the trade agreements reached between Brazil and China have provided a lot of opportunities for the development of relations between the two countries, as well as strengthening trade relations between the two countries. In fact, China has become Brazil’s most important cooperation partner in terms of commerce and capital-investment. According to data from Brazil, by the year 2022, the trade between Brazil and China has been above one trillion dollars for five consecutive years. China became Brazil’s largest trading partner for 14 consecutive years. According to Alcmin, in the future, Brazil and China will focus on cooperation in the areas of digital economy, green economy, space, etc., apart from trade.
