Hungary “temporarily bans the import of grains and oilseeds from Ukraine, as well as some other agricultural products,” the head of the country’s agriculture ministry said. According to him, the ban will be valid until June 30, 2023.
As stated in the document, such a measure is taken due to the absence of significant action by the EU to solve the problems caused by the supply of Ukrainian agricultural products at dumped prices.
The decision to ban the import of agricultural products from Ukraine until June 30 was also taken by Poland. The corresponding order was posted on the Twitter account of the country’s Minister of Development and Technology, Waldemar Buda, on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine called the Polish government’s decision to ban the import of Ukrainian food products into the country a violation of previously concluded agreements. At the same time, as stated in a statement published on the Ukrainian department’s website on Saturday, “the decisions of the Polish side contradict the agreements”.
