CHINA has detected an unidentified flying object entering its airspace and it prepares to shoot it down, state media reported.

The mysterious object was apparently spotted near the coastal city of Rizhao in the eastern Shandong Province on Sunday, according to Chinese media.

Maritime authorities said they were preparing to shoot it down before reminding fishermen to be safe via messages, Global Times reported.

A statement by the Chinese Qingdao Jimo District Ocean Development Bureau that is prepared to shoot down the object has been circulating on Chinese social media Weibo.

It comes right after federal officials ordered a temporary closure of Montana airways after an unidentified flying object was shot down in Canada.

According to a graphic released by the FAA, the airspace closed was near Havre, Montana, just under the Canada-US border.

A “radar anomaly” was detected, leading officials to send a fighter pilot to investigate, the North American Aerospace Defense Command confirmed.

“Those aircraft did not identify any object to correlate to the radar hits,” NORAD and United States Nothern Command said in a statement.

“NORAD will continue to monitor the situation.”

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau confirmed that an object flying over Canada was shot down by a US fighter jet.

A US F-22 shot down the object using an AIM 9X missile,  the Department of Defense said.

Both Canadian and US aircraft responded to the incident.

Trudeau said he gave the order but spoke with President Joe Biden about the incident beforehand.

“Canadian forces will now recover and analyse the wreckage of the object,” Trudeau wrote on Twitter.

And on Friday a US fighter jet shot down an unidentified object flying 40,000ft over Alaska.

An F-22 aircraft shot it down with a Sidewinder missile after it entered Alaskan airspace.

The object, described as the size of a small car, posed a “reasonable threat” to the safety of civilian flights, White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said.

It happened just days after the U.S. military took down the Chinese spy balloon.

The giant balloon was tracked by fighter jets and was spotted lurking near US nuke bases.

A US official said that the balloon had flown over areas that contained sensitive airbases and nuclear missiles in underground silos.
