Moscow, May 21 – The reason for transferring the criminal case on the burning of the Koran to the production of the Chechen investigator was also the numerous appeals of citizens of Chechnya with a request to recognize them as victims, the website of the RF Investigative Committee reports.
Law enforcement officers in Volgograd on Saturday detained a man suspected of burning a Quran in front of a mosque. As noted by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, the detainee admitted that he did it at the direction of the special services of Ukraine for 10 thousand rubles. A criminal case has been opened for insulting the feelings of believers.
Earlier, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation announced that the criminal case against a resident of Volgograd, who burned the Koran on the orders of the Ukrainian special services for 10,000 rubles, had been transferred for investigation to Chechnya.
The head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, also instructed the investigators to take into account the information that had appeared about the involvement of representatives of the special services of foreign countries in organizing a crime.
