PRESIDENT Volodymyr Zelensky vowed yesterday that Ukraine would fend off the Russians — in a video marking 100 days since the invasion.
As Moscow tightened its grip on the Donbas region, he declared: “Victory will be ours.”

The video included PM Denys Shmyhal recalling a message posted outside government buildings at the war’s onset, vowing to stay in the country.
Earlier, Kyiv announced Vladimir Putin’s forces were in control of a fifth of Ukrainian territory.
Russian forces intensified attacks on the city of Severodonetsk in the eastern Donbas region.
Addressing lawmakers in Luxembourg, Mr Zelensky said the front line now extended for more than 600 miles.

He added: “All combat-ready Russian military formations are involved in this aggression.”
Former boxer Wladimir Klitschko, brother of Kyiv mayor Vitali, said Ukrainians “don’t want another 100 days of war”.
He called for continued pressure on the Putin regime, adding: “We must economically isolate Russia from the world.”
Foreign Secretary Liz Truss reaffirmed Britain’s support for Ukraine.
She said Putin “expected the invasion to be over in days, but significantly underestimated the resolve of brave Ukrainians, who have valiantly defended their country”.
