The issue of conversion raised in the film ‘The Kerala Story’ is new as a film, but this issue has been plaguing the Hindu population in Kerala for a very long time. Filmmaker Sudipto Sen has finally had to break his silence on a serious topic that continues to be ignored and he has shown in this film a truth that is as much a truth of India as The Kashmir Files.
Islamic fundamentalists have tried hard to convert Kerala into an Islamic state and then succeed in their plans to make India an Islamic country like their ancestors invaders. Even after years of hard work, this effort of theirs is not yielding results as fast as they are trying.
India’s culture and values are so strong that digging its foundation easily and uprooting its roots is like chewing iron gram. But the continuous conspiracies have taken a large part of the Hindu population in the storm of conversion. But now it has come when instead of being limited to themselves and their families, Indians are again starting to think for the society and the nation, and that is why now the whole country in the form of a film is exposed to this conspiracy going on against India. He is able to see on the screen.
The film is crafted with soul-stirring truth and fact that each and every scene is full of pain, torture, atrocities, violence, methods of brainwashing Hindu and Catholic girls and its story from beginning to end Describes well. Despite the limited time constraints, the filmmaker has brought out on screen every aspect, every problem, every reason due to which Hindu girls are becoming victims of religious conversion. So we should accept that we ourselves are also responsible for the conspiracies happening against our religion.
In the dialogue of the film, a young woman also says to her father that you never told me about terrorism. Terrorism is not at the point of gun, but in the form of religious conversion, it is taking an increasingly dreadful form all over the world. We have to understand and be aware of these different forms of terrorism.
The filmmaker has very simply tried to explain that it is the liberalism of Hinduism that is causing problems for Hinduism. Children of Hindu family are oblivious about their religion, culture. They are ignorant of the knowledge of their Dharma Shastras, Granths, Puranas, Vedas because their parents have been restricting them only to school and college education, great job, good package.
Knowing this, we try to remain ignorant that if we do not connect our children with the roots of the country in time, if we do not tell them about the beauty of our religion, then what will be the fatal consequences. When the country’s religion and culture will be destroyed, then what will be the nature of the country.
Hinduism has always been liberal and the people working with radical intentions of other religions took advantage of this liberalism. The issue of brainwashing the youth and changing the demographic profile of India has been going on in India for a long time, but after the release of this film people will be aware of what is right and wrong.
I think this film should be watched not only by girls but by people of all age groups and communities, because this issue of conversion is not just limited to Hinduism. Sikh, Christian, Jain, Buddhist and other communities are also becoming victims of its conspiracy.
