Crews fighting forest fire in Tahoe National Forest in Yuba County like a gusty wind hit in region on Friday.

Wildfire burning near Golden Chain Highway and Highway 49, just south of Camptonville.

Firefighters say the incident started with a building fire that spread to nearby vegetation. About 5 acres have been burned so far, according to the US Forest Service.

Due to smoke causing some problems, Highway 49 was closed from Marysville Road to Ridge Road.

No evacuation orders have been issued at this time, Yuba County officials said.

People are encouraged to stay out of in area.

Red flag warning in effect for Northern California through most of Friday.
