Saudi Waste Management Investment Company SRIC Joins EPCA

Introduction

The Saudi waste management investment company SRIC, one of the companies wholly owned by the State Investment Fund, has announced its admission to the European Petrochemical Association EPCA, which is the largest organization representing the petrochemical industry in Europe and is the main link and liaison with its wide network of more than 650 company members from all over the world.

Circe’s accession to EPCA represents an important step towards achieving its strategic goals, which include expanding business in the recycling sector and strengthening cooperation with international companies in this sector.

Membership Benefits

The CEO of Saudi Refining Investment Company, Engineer Ziyad bin Muhammad Al-Shiha, explained: “EPCA is one of the most important organizations in the petrochemical sector in the world, which will help us achieve our strategic goals and strengthen cooperation with international companies in the refining sector.” We expect this membership to make a significant contribution to the Circle’s mission and allow it to benefit from the insights and research involved in developing a chemicals management program to create a sustainable and safe environment, according to SPA.

Al-Shiha reaffirmed Circ’s commitment to its effective role in achieving the goals of one of the objectives of the Kingdom Vision 2023 to move away from landfills and reduce carbon emissions.

Notably, the Saudi Investment Company for Recycling, a Saudi-based recycling company, owns a number of partnerships specializing in recycling of all types of waste and is working to develop new recycling projects in the Kingdom.
