The government delegation of the Republic of South Africa visited the United States. The aim of the official visit is to clarify the position on the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, reports the Sunday Times.
The delegation includes Presidential Security Adviser Sidney Mufamadi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Alvin Botes and Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Zane Dangor. They will need to take action to counter South Africa’s removal from the list of countries that enjoy economic and trade benefits under the African Growth and Opportunity Act.

Earlier in South Africa, disputes erupted over an International Criminal Court arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin. The head of state is due to travel to Africa in August to attend the BRICS summit.
