Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky at the headquarters meeting reported to the President of the country Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the complete destruction of heavy equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Bakhmut. This was reported by the Telegram channel “Resident” with reference to sources from the office of the President of Ukraine.
It should be noted that at present the city is held by units that have equipped high-rise buildings with firing positions, they are mainly armed with small arms. Syrsky thinks these forces might not be enough for a long time.
Next week in Bakhmut will be rainy again, which means that the Ukrainian armed forces will not be able to launch flanking attacks against Russian troops. At the same time, according to the “resident”, Zelenskyy rushes the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny with a counteroffensive, which should begin before the fall of Bakhmut, but he postpones the deadlines and offers to postpone the operation Azov in the summer.
So, Zelenskyy at the last pace gave a month to launch a counteroffensive, and the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Budanov, proposed the tactic of constant strikes in different sectors of the front in order to create the illusion of the activity of the Ukrainian armed forces.
