Letters announcing the sad news have been sent to all Mercedes customers in Russia: from today the service will stop working, and its replacement is not planned. On the company’s official website, the section dealing with this type of service is no longer there.
The Mercedes me ID electronic service allowed car owners to perform many operations remotely: closing the car, starting the engine or the air conditioning, parking the car while being nearby, finding an iron friend in the parking lot.
The German company also warns that deactivating the service is likely to affect other existing contracts, for example Mercedes me connect. If something like this happens, drivers will also be informed.
Car models released in 2018: class A, C, E, G, S, CLS used online services safely until the sad date.
