Against the background of general confusion over decisive session of Punjab Assembly (PA) for election new Chief Minister Vice Speaker Sardar Dost Muhammad Mazari on Wednesday dispelled the notion that postponed until April 16 and claimed that it would take place today at 19:30.

On Tuesday, Mazari postponed the meeting session for election next main minister until 11:30 on April 16 due to repairs and maintenance work in auditorium as reason.

But, in late night development he canceled his previous order and called the PA for a meeting today at 7:30 pm — development which was denied by the representative for provincial assembly and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q).

Speaking with DawnNewsTVthe vice speaker argued that the assembly session will take place today. He also blamed some PA staff of playing “wrong role” in convocation of in session stating that they are “spreading confusion”.

“Assembly session suspended until April 16 due to current repairs work,” said Dr. Zayn Ali, adding that the assembly hall and lobby were damaged due to “riots.”

“Assembly session will not take place today,” he concluded.
