Prigozhin denied reports about the withdrawal of Ukrainian armed forces from Artyomovsk

The founder of the Wagner private military company, Yevgeny Prigozhin, denied reports that Ukrainian units were withdrawing from Artyomovsk.

“It must be made clear that the enemy is going nowhere. They organized the defense inside the city, first by rail, then in the area of high-rise buildings in the western district of the city, ”explains the press service of Prigozhin.

He also stressed that Russian forces would “completely expel” all Ukrainian fighters when they leave Artyomovsk. According to Prigozhin, they will take over the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Chasov Yar region and on the outskirts of Artyomovsk.

Previously, he reported on the raising of the Russian flag over the Artyomovsk administration. Legally, Russian forces took the city.

In addition, analysts from the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) confirmed the advance of the Russian army in the central part of Artyomovsk.
