LONDON: former financial minister Ishak Dar and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf former secretary-general Jahangir Khan Tarin held talks over in current political situation in countries, the sources said. Geo News on Wednesday.
Sources at PML-N and the Jahangir Tareen group told Geo News that both leaders spoke of non-confidence movement moved against Usman Buzdar in Punjab Assembly. Buzdar has submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Imran Khan, but the resignation has not yet been accepted.
Sources on Both sides confirmed that Dar and Taryn spoke over phone for about half hour and discussed current political situation in Pakistan. They are also discussed possible ways of cooperation at the level of the Punjab Assembly and the center, the sources said.
Taryn and Dar were not available to comment but sources said the two leaders had agreed to keep channels of communication open and work together in in future including discussions on nomination of a common candidate for in post of chief of Punjab minister.
Jahangir Tarin group played an important role in in politics in center and Punjab in recent months.
When the opposition was crushed and there wasn’t much public excitement for Taryn, his supporters in The National Assembly and the Punjab Assembly came to the defense of the estranged PTI leader. Taryn group has since largely supported him and now has considerable influence.
Three weeks ago, Shahbaz Sharif sent a bouquet to the residence of Jahangir Tarin. in Newbury, UK where it is located currently residence with his family.
Sources confirmed that Shahbaz son Suleman Sharif in touch with Jahangir and his son Ali Tarin. Bouquet sent by Suleman on on behalf of of his father and taken to Newbury countryside house of Taryn family.
Jahangir is not yet met PML-N head Nawaz Sharif, but sources say developments have been approved of in former prime minister.
Before Taryn arrives in UK around six weeks ago, Shahbaz and Jahangir met in Lahore in house in Exemplary city.
