PM for deepening of defense bonds with Nigeria

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan called for further study of bilateral trade And business relations with Nigeria.

The prime minister said this during a meeting with Nigerian Minister of Defense Major General (in pension) Bashir Salihi Magashi, who call on he on Friday.

Speaking with him, the prime minister appreciated the growing bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the field of defense, security and counter-terrorism.

He also put in order in light his vision of “Involve Africa” policy which aims to expand the diplomatic footprint and move forward trade and investment partnerships with the continent.

The prime minister unanimous adoption praised of a historic resolution of the United Nations General Assembly on declaring March 15 the “International Day to Combat Islamophobia”.

He said this recognition by the General Assembly will help fight the contemporary challenges of racism, discrimination and violence against Muslims and promote interreligious harmony.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Khan greeted the nation and the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat. In a tweet, the prime minister he prayed to Allah Almighty “to have mercy on us and door us pace and prosperity “.

Separately, Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to Kurram was postponed due to bad weather weather.

In an audio message to the people of the areail prime minister he urged them to participate fully in The local government elections there. He, however, said he will visit the area how soon how possible once the weather conditions become normal.
