NCOC closes down after battle off COVID-19

Umar also said that from now on on functions of NCOC such as monitoring of pandemic and administration of vaccines, etc. over the ministry of health. “With Covid rates at record lows and highs of vaccination, the baton is now being passed on Ministry of Health,” he said.

On the last day of forum, Umar also I spoke with media. He noted the positive contribution of all institutions and different segments of society, including religious scholars, stating that they have played a key role in in fight against pandemic.

Speaking at a press conference with with Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health Dr. Faisal Sultan, Umar said that the conservation in view lowest level of the spread of the pandemic and highest level of vaccination throughout the country, government decided to close down NCOC.

“As a Pakistani, I am immensely proud that the country has been praised for his Covid response is like one of most successful in in world from global agents and personalities,” he said, “by the grace of Allah and support of of the entire nation, we were able to overcome this unprecedented challenge”.

He especially thanked the nation for cooperation with in government affecting standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by the forum for pandemic control and successfully overcoming this challenge. He also thanked all stakeholders in this whole operation.

That minister especially mentioned the name of Major General Asif Goraya, Director General of Operations, calling him ” national hero” who played major role at NCOC. He also praised Dr. Sultan and his team.

“First of all, real character and inspiration of in success story was Prime Minister Imran Khan, who from the day one aims to maintain a balance between life and livelihood. This sensible approach helped in preservation people from dying of pandemic and hunger,” is he added.

The Prime Minister tweeted: “Today as NCOC closes down I want congratulate NCOC team and that’s me[ea]dership for professional, nationally coordinated response to the pandemic. As a result, our Covid response has been recognized internationally[ernational] agencies and people in field as one of most successful [stories] globally.”

Coronavirus first appeared in December 2019. first covid case in Pakistan has been discovered on February 26, 2020 Within a few days, the disease spread like more cases arose in various parts of the country. That prime minister formed NCOC to implement decisions of National Coordinating Committee on Coronavirus led by Prime Minister Imran Khan himself.

NCOC was the main body governing policy and implementation of in national Covid-19 response. It was formed in April 2020 on orders of Prime Minister Imran Khan for comparison, analysis and processing information received from all over the country.
