A MUM of three and her toyboy lover have allegedly paid a hitman to kill her husband after he filed for divorce, cops said.

Lindsay Shiver was subsequently arrested after the alleged elaborate murder plot was accidentally foiled by Bahamian authorities.

The 36-year-old Georgia woman had become estranged from her husband, Robert Shiver, after reportedly falling for local man Terrance Bethel.

The former Auburn University football player then became the target of the alleged savage plan, it was reported.

Bahamas Court News said cops stumbled upon Lindsay’s alleged scheme to murder her hubby while investigating a different case.

In early July, they were looking through a phone of a suspected burglar of a local bar in Great Guana Cay to gather evidence.

Cops then reportedly unearthed text messages that detailed the alleged plot.

As a result, Bethel, 28, and Faron Newbold were arrested in connection to the alleged hit scheme.

It wasn’t immediately known whether Shiver, Bethel or Newbold owned the phone, it was reported.

An inside source told Thomasville Times-Enterprise that Robert and Lindsay owned a house in the Bahamas.

It was near their Guana home where Lindsay met her alleged lover Bethel.

Robert then filed for divorce when he discovered his wife was involved in a romantic relationship with Bethel.

According to WTVY, the acrimonious split led Lindsay to hatch her evil plan – allegedly paying a would-be hitman to carry out Robert’s murder.

After their arrest, Lindsay Shiver, Bethel and Newbold were transported to the Caribbean country’s capital, Nassau.

They appeared in court on Friday but were not required to enter a plea, the outlet said.

The trio is due back in court October 5.

According to Lindsay’s Instagram account, she first met Robert during a fitness class at Auburn University in 2007.

One of her posts in 2020 read: “So thankful for that fitness class 13 years ago that brought us together and all of the love, laughter, and life we have created ever since! I love you babe. Cheers to many more.”

After Richard’s career as snapper for Auburn University, he signed with Atlanta Falcons as a free agent but was cut before the 2009 season.
