Lavrov discusses progress in preparations for peace treaty between Yerevan and Baku

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that active work continues in the field of preparing the text of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

“I will also separately mention the need, in addition to stabilizing the situation in Karabakh and on the borders, to solve humanitarian problems,” Lavrov added, opening a trilateral meeting in Moscow with the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia.

The Russian Foreign Minister also stressed “the need to break through the cordon and free communications in the field of transport between the two sides, and, of course, work must be continued in the field of agreeing on the text of a peace treaty. Active work is being done in this field.”
