BOris Johnson had just to come off telephone with Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukrainian leader, when he was told that he would not be facing any further fines from the Metropolitan Police over party scandal. While some assistants cheered that his job was safe, the man himself seemed baffled.

“Mentally he had already excited on,” said one assistant “There was no fist in in air or five from him. He was surprisingly depressed.” Johnson said, “Now we have to get on with all the rest.”

Downing Street sources say that in recent weeks, prime minister spent 60 percent of its time on in cost-of- life crisis, “everything else” clogs his mailbox.
