Jalandhar (Punjab). The Border Security Force (BSF) shot down two suspected Pakistani drones trying to enter India by crossing the international border in Punjab on Friday night.
A BSF spokesman said on Saturday that both the incidents took place in forward areas of Amritsar district. The first drone (DJI Matrice 300 RTK) was recovered from Dhariwal village on Amritsar side, he said. According to the spokesperson, BSF personnel fired and shot down the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) around 9 pm on Friday.
The second drone (DJI Matrice RTK 300) was recovered from Ratan Khurd village in Amritsar after jawans fired at around 9.30 pm, he said. In the second case, two packets were attached to the drone, of which 2.6 kg, according to the spokesperson. Suspected heroin has been recovered.
