BOI Chairman Azfar Ahsan resigns

ISLAMABAD: after the changes of government in center chairman of the board of Investment (BOI) Muhammad Azfar Ahsan resigned post.

In a letter sent to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Azfar resigned. head of BoI after leaving office for five months.

In a letter, he thanked former prime minister Imran Khan for giving him an important responsibility that he was trying to fulfill.

He has also mentioned 125 reforms under the Asan Karobar program launched by BoI recently.

In November 2021, the federal cabinet approved the appointment of Muhammad Azfar Ahsan as new BOI Chairman.

Azfar Ahsan became the fourth person appointed to the post post. He replaced Atif Bokhari. who resigned in June for “personal reasons”.

It could be added here that the newly appointed chairman is the founder of Corporate Pakistan Group (CPG), representing the elite of Pakistan national intelligentsia, including corporate and business leaders, ministers, senators, governors, federal secretaries, politicians, distinguished academics, energy workers, tech entrepreneurs, personnel protectionpolice, foreign policy experts, media practitioners as well as movers and shakers of civil society.
