The Greek Orthodox Church has continued the centuries-old ritual of Holy Communion which consists of feeding an entire congregation with the same spoon dipped into the chalice of bread and wine which is believed to be body and blood of Christ. Scientists warn that shared utensils can spread coronavirus and have also underlined outbreaks linked to religious services.
