Bhopal. Monsoon has covered the entire Madhya Pradesh within 24 hours. After Sunday afternoon, heavy rain started in Bhopal which continued till late night. Due to this water flooded streets in many areas. Heavy rain occurred in many districts including Jabalpur, Gwalior, Bhind, Guna, Khajuraho, Raisen, Shivpuri, Mandla and Sagar. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon has received tremendous energy due to the effect of weather systems formed at different places. Due to this, the monsoon began to advance rapidly and covered the whole of Madhya Pradesh on Sunday. Along with this, the period of heavy rain has also started in many cities including the capital.

In Madhya Pradesh, monsoon had set in from Mandla district on Saturday, then the Meteorological Department had predicted that it would cover the entire state in four-five days, but now the department has told that today the monsoon has set in the entire Madhya Pradesh. Senior meteorologist HS Pandey told that the monsoon had arrived only yesterday. Its speed was very fast. Because of this, it has spread across the state on Sunday. There is a possibility of heavy rains in the entire state for the next two days.

Here, the first monsoon rain has exposed the arrangements in the capital Bhopal. The heavy rains that started on Sunday afternoon continued till late evening. Due to this, water was flooded in the low-lying areas of the city. Roads were seen submerged. Due to which people had to face a lot of trouble. The canal of the Irrigation Department overflowed in Zone 13 of Ward 55 of the city. Due to which the slum around the cremation ground was filled with water. In Bairagarh also, due to the rains, a situation of water-logging has been created in the lower settlements. Manit, Patrakar Colony and Jumerati Market, Amrai Complex were waterlogged. Apart from this, shops in Ghodanakkas area were filled with water.

According to the Meteorological Department, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm on Sunday, 22.2 mm of rain in Jabalpur, 16 in Guna, 8.8 in Khajuraho, five in Raisen, five in Malajkhand, three in Mandla, Sagar and Shivpuri, 0.1 mm in Gwalior. registered. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility that this process of rain may continue for three-four days. The department has warned of excessive rainfall in Chhindwara, Seoni district. Along with this, there will be rain in the districts of all the divisions. During this, heavy rain may also occur at some places.

Mamta Yadav, senior meteorologist at Bhopal’s Meteorological Centre, told that the south-west monsoon has arrived in the entire state. From Monday, there is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning in most of the districts of the state.
