By Henry Moore

HAMISH Harding’s family has issued a statement after news broke that the billionaire was among those in a missing submarine touring the wreckage of the Titanic.

The submarine went missing on Sunday and time is of the essence as officials announced in a press conference on Tuesday that there is “just 40 hours of breathable air” remaining.

Action Aviation and the Harding family issued a joint statement confirming that the pilot was among the group missing and they “look forward to welcoming him home.”

The statement added: “We are thankful for the continued efforts of the authorities and companies that have stepped in to aid in the rescue efforts. We put great faith and trust in their expertise.”

The statement comes as the US Navy announced they would be sending a deep-water lifting system to assist in the search.

The Canadian Coast Guard and the French government are also sending vessels to help find the missing submarine.
