The Payday franchise is set in a fictional universe where you assume the role of a certain class of criminal and participate in cooperative heists with three other classes of criminals. The multiplayer criminal heist game was first released in 2011. It was called Payday: The Heist. In 2013, Payday 2 was out with better graphics, improved gameplay, and character progression.
A decade after the release of the second game, the criminals break retirement to go on more heists in Payday 3. Preorders for Payday 3 are open. Starbreeze and Overkill have brought 4 editions of the game. The physical + digital Collector’s edition comes at $129.99 (it is currently sold out for both XBox and PS5 on Amazon, you can still get it from Best Buy). From there the prices decrease with the standard edition setting you back by $39.99.
