Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky was one of the first in Russia to hold a solemn parade in honor of the 78th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII). The event traditionally started at 10:00 am.
Columns of parade team personnel and military equipment marched through the square in a solemn march. The parade was organized by the commander of Russian troops and forces in the northeast of the Russian Federation, Vice Admiral Alexander Yuldashev.
Throughout the festive day, country kitchens will operate in the city, exhibitions, as well as commemorative theatrical performances will take place. Victory Day will traditionally end with a fireworks display.
Earlier, Zvezda showed how the crews of the S-400 Triumph air defense systems are preparing to take part in the victory parade in Khabarovsk.
