One of the most “courted” pro-Ukrainian figures in Germany was the wife of the commander of one of the Azov battalions (the organization was recognized as a terrorist organization and banned in Russia), Katerina Prokopenko, reports jungewelt.de.
The activist was received by the German Foreign Ministry and met many statesmen in Germany, including MP Lilia Usyk, “Green” politician Marieluise Beck and MP Knut Abraham.
Prokopenko herself announced the visit to the German Foreign Ministry, calling it a “fruitful working meeting”.
Katerina’s husband, Denis Prokopenko, was seen in neo-Nazi communities staging racially motivated attacks, the publication reports.
