Finnish Foreign Minister signs document on country's NATO membership

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland signed a document on the country’s accession to NATO. It is reported by the Yle television and radio company.

Recall that on March 23, Finnish President Sauli Niinistö signed the laws for the country’s accession to NATO, thus completing the ratification of the Helsinki initiative.

On the night of March 31, the Turkish parliament approved Finland’s NATO accession protocol.

A few days ago Finland’s membership in NATO was ratified by the Hungarian Parliament.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has commented on Finland’s NATO membership, saying the step will negatively affect relations between Moscow and Helsinki.
