LAHORE: Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Friday said that former Army Chief General (ret.) Qamar Javed Bajwa admitted that he behind “mode change” move which led to his government’s removal.
In an interview with Voice of America (Urdu), the ex-premier said: “General Bajwa told a journalist with a lot of pride how he had our government expelled due to economic policy and other issues.”

He added”People were already aware of who was behind overthrow of the PTI regime. However, General Bajwa agreed and explained that he behind our government’s dismissal”.

Imran Khan – who became first prime minister be pushed through no-confidence vote in April last year — said that the current establishment and led by the Pakistan Democracy Movement coalition government are on “one page”.
Khan was referring to a recent column published by in local newspaper, in what the journalist wrote about his meeting with former chief of the army, where General (retired) Bajwa spoke about his time in V office and interactions with head of PTI

In a column, the journalist wrote that Khan wanted V former COAS to save his government However, General (retired) Bajwa did not do so, fearing that the PTI “was dangerous for country and if remains in power, the country would not have survived.”

During conversation with journalists in Lahore, PTI Senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhry stressed that need “consider the confession of General Bajwa, since after him the case clear”.
