UKRAINE’s defiant fightback against Russian forces continued yesterday when troops downed both a Ka-52 ‘Alligator’ combat helicopter and a Russian Su-35 fighter jet, following earlier reports that Moscow had gained the upper hand in the battle for eastern Ukraine.
