Neighbors remember 3 who died in Delta house fire

DELTA – A deadly and destructive house fire killed three people inside.

It happened on a Saturday when Delta house suddenly went up in flame.

Next door neighbor Dusty Murray said he saw the flames.

“I parked my truck in road, jumped out and ran over to the ambulance, because they were sitting there with oxygen and all on them and sat there with them and spoke with them,” Murray said.

He said that he and his family became close with in family, having lived through street from them for in last eight years.

Over the years, his sons became especially close. with one of neighbours who died in in fire.

“His electric wheelchair and my boys, all three of my boys – he came out on this road is right here and they will follow their bikes and he said to them: “Ready, set, go!” and they would just race together up and down road,” Murray said.

Christina Woodmaster is also a neighbor. She said she was worried about that flame catch her home on firefighters and family helped make sure the flame remained localized.

“They started spraying our house because the wind kept changing and approaching us. house. Fortunately my father-in-Lo was here and he heard the explosion that happened and then went out with hose, and started hose off in side of our house and a barn,” said Woodmaster.

“It was lucky that he did it, because if he didn’t, we would have lost. out shed,” she said.

Woodmaster said there were life lessons learned from this. fire.

“Definitely makes you think. more about family and wanting to get in touch. I sent messages to my family all night and all morning: “I love you. I miss you. We need speak more” Woodmaster said.

Firefighters are still investigating cause of in fire.
